Homework for Week of October 26th
Here are the homework assignments for this week!
English:
We are continuing to learn about Non-Fiction text features. We are continuing to read the book Antarctica: Land of the Penguins and using the features of that book to help us understand the text.
*Complete Scootpad.com assignment on Non-Fiction texts. (click here: www.scootpad.com/mrchris )
*Please complete pages 92-105 about Antarctica in your Big Cat reading book. We are working on some of the pages in class, so just finish the ones that are not done. Please make sure to bring the book back to school each day.
*Study spelling words. (I have them on Scootpad.)

We are continuing to learn addition and subtraction. This week we are working on column addition and subtraction, as well as looking at KEY WORDS in word problems that signal that we should add or subtract.

Science:
We are learning about the greenhouse effect.

New Math Resource
XtraMath is a new program that we will be using at school to practice our math facts practicing. Each day that students are with me, they will log on to their account and practice their math facts. I encourage you to practice at home each day that they are not with me for math (even on the weekends). Know these math facts will help them as the math becomes for complicated. There is even a app that you can download for free!
