English:
We are continuing to learn about Non-Fiction text features. This week we will be finishing up our Animal Research and completing a book about an animal that we chose to study. We will also be reading the book Antarctica and using the features of that book to help us understand the text.

*You may print out and bring in pictures of the animal that you are making the book about. (ask your child what they are studying)
*Study spelling words. (I have them on Scootpad.)
Math:
We are continuing to learn addition and subtraction. This week we are working on column addition and subtraction, as well as looking at KEY WORDS in word problems that signal that we should add or subtract.
*I am sending home some practice word problems.
